The paradise islands of the South Pacific are disappearing. In a few years, some of them should be deserted: tired of frequent flooding, residents are leaving the island. Among the 12 nations of the region-archipelagos, two are in full alert. With the rise in sea level, the countries of Kiribati and Tuvalu could be swallowed by the sea, disappear of the map. The water invades the houses and cause erosion. When the tide rises, puddles of water suddenly arise. In some regions, is already digging water can reach only 1 meter deep. The government of the two countries have already prepared an
emergency program to find accommodation for its 115 thousand residents, the first refugees of global warming.
emergency program to find accommodation for its 115 thousand residents, the first refugees of global warming. The phenomenon is a dramatic evidence of global warming. With the temperature of the planet 0.7C higher in the last century, with the melting of polar ice increasing the sea level is rising. The effect is even more unsettling for those living in places like Tuvalu, the 4th smallest country in the world, where the peak is 5 meters in height and width of the island is just 500 meters. Tuvalu will slowly disappear over the next 40 or 50 years. The irony is that small nations like this contribute very little to the pollution and global warming.

I never knew that. Especially the bit on the fact they are the least polluters. It seems hardly fair. Good look on your grades.
