The Other Me and Æon Flux
Some clips of the movie "The Other Me". I already saw this movie, but was long time ago. I like the movie is funny.
The Other me is a movie about a little boy that accidently clone himself. The story is about Will Browning that is a slacker student who needs a good grade at Science, or he has to go to a Summer camp. So he decide to buy a product named "Ocean Pets" to be is Science project. The "Ocean Pets" is a product that creates little marine creatures via cloning. Will accidently leaks the clone formula, and when he's mixing the formula he accidently creates a clone of himself. Because the clone is smarter than him, Will send the clone to school.
400 years in the future, set in the year 2415, Aeon Flux is a mysterious assassin. Four centuries after a virus nearly decimated the human race, leaving only five million survivors in a utopian city called Bregna. Aeon is struggling to destroy the Goodchild regime led by its namesake, Trevor Goodchild, the ruler of Bregna and a descendant of the man who found a cure for the deadly virus. As instructed by the Handler, Aeon is assigned to assassinate Goodchild, but there are deeper secrets to be discovered, and conspiracies to be foiled. The people of Bregna, all of they, are clones. They have one balloon where they keep the DNA of all the people and through when someone dies they create the person that dies again in other family with other identity.
I alreay saw this movie and I liked! The way they have the DNA informations about each person in the air ballon and the way they create the person who just died but in other family with other identity is weird. I reccomend the movie, have action, adrenaline, is a good movie.
Information about Aeon Flux from wikipedia in english. Information about The Other Me from english book.
Global Warming

Global warming refers to the increase in average temperature of the oceans and the air near the Earth's surface that has been experienced in recent decades, and the possibility of continuing it during the current century.
If this increase is due to natural causes or anthropogenic (man-made) is still the subject of some debate among scientists, although many meteorology and climatology have recently said publicly that they consider evidence that human action is actually influencing the occurrence of the phenomenon. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) established by the United Nations and World Meteorological Organization in 1988, in its most recent report [1] says that much of the warming observed over the past 50 years has most likely been due to an increase in greenhouse effect caused by rising concentrations of greenhouse gases of anthropogenic origin (including, in addition to the increase of greenhouse gases, other changes such as those due to greater use of groundwater and soil for agriculture and an industrial increased energy consumption and pollution). The scientific consensus is that global warming is anthropogenic. Most academies of sciences of the world made a joint so that there was no consensus about the doubts.

The effects of external agents on the climate are complicated by several processes cyclical and self-powered, called Feedbacks. One of the most pronounced of these processes is related to the evaporation of water. The injected CO2 in the atmosphere causes the heating of it and the Earth's surface. The warming leads to more evaporation of water, and as the water vapor is a greenhouse gas, this leads to more warming, which in turn causes more evaporation of water, and so on, until it reached a new balance dynamic, with increased humidity and the concentration of water vapor, leading to an increase in greenhouse effect much greater than that due only to increase the concentration of CO2. This effect can only be reversed very slowly, since the CO2 has an average time of life a lot longo.Um feedback in the atmosphere still subject to research and debate is caused by clouds. Viewed from below, the clouds emit infrared radiation back to the surface, warming the same . Viewed from above, they reflect the sunlight and emit infrared radiation into space, cool the planet. The overall increase in concentration of water vapor may or may not cause an increase in average global coverage of clouds. Therefore, the effective role of clouds is not yet well defined, but its effects are less relevant that the only water vapor, and in models of the IPCC, they contribute to the heating <. Another important feedback is the relationship ice-albedo . The increased rate of CO2 in the atmosphere increases the temperature of the Earth and leads to melting of ice near the poles. With the melting of ice, land or sea open occupy its place. Both are, on average, substrates with lower capacity to think the ice, and thus absorb more solar radiation. This causes even more warming, causing more melting of ice, and the cycle continues. The positive feedback (pro-warming) due to the release of CO2, CH4 with the melting of permafrost is another mechanism that contributes to warming. Furthermore, the release of methane due to unfreeze funds for ocean is more a mechanism to be considered. The ability of oceanic absorption of carbon decreases with the heating, because the low levels of nutrients in the mesopelágica limit the growth of algae, encouraging the development of species phytoplanktonic minors, who are not as good absorbent carbon.

Consequences:
Because of the potential effects on human health, economy and environment global warming has been a source of great concern. Major environmental changes have been observed and were linked to global warming. Examples of secondary evidence cited below (reduction in ice cover, sea level rise, changes in weather patterns) are examples of the consequences of global warming that may influence not only the human activities but also ecosystems. Increased global temperature change allows an ecosystem, some species may be forced out of their habitats (possibility of extinction) due to changes in condition while others can spread, invading other ecosystems.

The Island
The story happens in 2019. Administrators say the residents that they are there because they are the only survivors of the attack of a dangerous virus which attacked throughout the land. The only place on earth where this virus is not enough a heavenly place called The Island.
Lincoln Six Echo, discovers a secret part. There he saw a shocking scene: the doctors killing his friend and drawing it shares body. Lattely, discovered several pockets of water with more residents inside. Gradually, with the help of others, discovers that the residents of that thing are actually identical clones to people from the outside world. People who can afford to take a reserve corps, should it need a part of it. And this island there was an excuse for being taken by doctors and be killed when people wanted.
Lincoln and Jordan, a girl that Lincolin felt in love, leave the unknown world and contrary to what they thought, inhabited. Jordan had been sent to discover that the island because of a disease contracted by itself, and Lincoln discovers himself, a famous tyrant, rich and frivolous. He starts saving the trouble of clones created and administered mainly by Dr. Merrick.

Transgenic Manipulation
The technique of introducing new genetic material into the germline of mammals has been a major development in biotechnology over the last decades."Transgenic animals" are animals whose chromosomes contain stable, integrated copies of exogenous genes, additional copies of endogenous genes or gene constructs. They are frequently created by two different techniques: microinjection of DNA into the pronucleus of zygotes and injection of embryonic stem cells into blastocysts. This video covers microinjection of DNA into the pronucleus of zygotes.

Recycle
Now, i'll show the ecopoints where we can put the waste:

Here, could be package of creams, shampoos, packs of yogurt, such as metal cans of tuna, and another type of things like these ones.

Here could be all the types of paper, newspaper, megazines and more

Here could be glass, all the types of glass less lamps
Everyone should recycle, it's for a better environment it's a benefit for our lives.
It's not difficult you just have to be aware of this.
Good Recycling!

Mc. Genetic Modificacion
This video shows the very specific situation of the genetic mutation products of Mc Donald and its consequences in a very funny and simple way. Also gives a brief explanation of what is really a genetic mutation. Algo same farms have already provided significant improvements in the quantity and quality of the food supply while reducing economic cost, energy usage, pesticide usage, fuel usage, soil erosion and carbon emissions, with no scientifically-documented evidence of harm to human health.

Vegetarian Diet
This video shows the evidence of a person who chose to be vegetarian. In this video the woman talks about how it was at the beginning,in high school, the reaction of colleagues between the difference of the food. Then she talks about now, many years latter, she said that the vegetarian lifestyle allows her to have an active life. It shows that she's proud of the choice that she made.

Animals' Extinction
Isn’t just the weather that’s changing, the biodiversity is changing too. Because the weather changes and other factors some species are really close to became extinct.
Here are some animals which are in the list of the almost extinct species:
The Sumatran Tiger, Persian Leopard, Snow Leopard, Asiatic Lion, Lion, Eurasian Lynx, Clouded Leopard, chimpanzee, Japanese Macaque, Diana Monkey, Spider Monkey, Sumatran Orangutan, White-handed Gibbon, Golden Lion Tamarin, Ring-tailed Lemur, Red Ruffed Lemur, Black-and-White Ruffed Lemur, Koala, California Sea Lion, Harbor Seal, Okapi, Oryx, Forest Buffalo, Addax, Zebra, Angolan Giraffe, Camel, Toucan, Trumpeter Hornbill, Meerkat, Brown Bear, Polar Bear, Rhea, Grey Crowned Crane, Hippopotamus, African Elephant, etc
And this list will grow up more and more. Some people don’t put in their heads global warming is really affecting the planet, the animal, the plant, even us human being. But isn’t just global warming the one that killing this animal. The large quantities of trees we cut every day destroy animal’s habitat. That trees we just cut down was the home of squirrels, birds, little bugs and other microscopic organism. Now imagine one day, the quantity of trees cut down and the quantity of animals, now, don’t have their nest, the place where the hunt, where they protect themselves from other animals.
Deforestation really exists. Amazonas Forest nowadays is smaller than was 90 years ago. Humans every day cut down large quantities of trees to have land for vegetables. The biggest forest in our world, Earth’s lung, now has a size of a “kidney”, ironically.
The forest fires also contribute for the disappearing of animals habitat. Some of the forest fires are done on purpose. Pyromaniac like to see forest burning, but what they don’t remember, is what they do is destroying the lungs of Earth. They don’t remember that, they just want to satisfy their desire.
The solution for deforestation is create more and more national parks. The forest aren’t our properties, they belong to animals. The Pyromaniac should be, all of them, in nuts house or in prison. One thing humans can do to help animals’ extinction is clone them. Use our technology to do something useful to our planet.

Hybrid public transport
In addition to a combustion engine, hybrid vehicles are also equipped with an electric motor that is used to start the vehicle. The electric motor also functions as a generator. When the vehicle is braking, the kinetic energy is not wasted, but converted to electricity and stored. This energy is later used to power the vehicle. The hybrid systems are ideal for city bus, because they often slowing and accelerating

Destination: Antarctica
This video I took from http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ talks about trips tourist do to Antarctica.
All I can say is, if global warming get worse this travels will be over, Antarctica will melting and the sea leves will rise.
Indonesia Lost Pearl

He can look like a gremlin, but in reality this little guy is a pygmy tarsier, that was recently rediscovered in forest of Indonesia.
This little carnivorous primate, with 2-ouce (57 grams) had not been seen alive since the 1920s. This is specie that scientist thought to be extinct, but in reality this little guy because the humans furtive hunt and the destruction of their habitat have been hidden.
In forested mountains slopes of Lore Lindu National Park in central Sulawesi was the place where this type of tarsier was really abundant. But since their habitat start to get destroyed they became “extinct”, that what we thought.
Pigmy Tarsier is like an Indonesian Pearl, specie that scientist thought extinct but in reality they’ve been hidden of us, they became precious. They have reason to do it; humans are the responsible for the destruction of their habitat, what they call their home.
Sharon Gursky-Doyen was the woman, which have took this picture (the picture above) of pygmy tarsier hopes Indonesian government will help protecting this specie and his habitat.
This is a prove our nature have a lot of surprises and unexpected things for us, but if we still destroy the forest, polluting all this things can just disappear in a second. So think when you use paper just to do one thing and then threw them. Think when you leave the lights on for no reason. Think about the thing you do which contributes to kill more and more our environment, our species, our treasures.
Just think ecologically.

Difference between Veganism and Vegetarianism
A vegan person is someone who chooses to avoid using or consuming products from animals. The vegans avoid dairy and eggs, as well as fur, leather, wool, down, and chemical products tested on animals.
Veganism, is the natural extension of vegetarianism, is an absolute component of a free lifestyle. Living like a vegan provides more benefits to the life of animals, to the environment, and to our own health.

So, Vegetarianism is the practice of a diet that excludes meat and fish. There are very variants of the diet, some of which also exclude eggs and some products produced from animal like dairy products and honey.
Those who practice veganism for ethical reasons exclude animal products from their diet as part of a larger practice of abstaining from the use of animals for any purpose, often out of support for animal rights.
Most vegetarians consume dairy products, and many eat eggs.
Then, for conluding, we can say that veganism is a lifestyle variant from vegetarianism, but they're different.

What can we do?

"Borneo's Moment of Truth"
Video came from http://www.ngm.nationalgeographic.com/
"Photographer Mattias Klum takes you to Borneo's rainforest, and describes how we're in danger of consuming it to death."
Borneo Rainforest

The President of Indonesia announced its have plans to establish a 1.8 million hectare oil plantation in the rainforest of Borneo. The proposed plan, which was support by Chinese and Japanese investments, would have destroyed one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), some 361 species of animals have been discovered on the island in the past decade, including a mysterious fox-like creature spotted last year. This forest like more other´s forests as became destroyed by humans in search of natural resources.

24th December, 2004 Tsunami Video
A video of 24th December, 2004 Tsunami. The video doens't has very quality. It's a tape recorded by a tourist who witnessed the tsunami from hotel roof.
Video from Youtube.com
These Video, is 4th paragraph ilustration.
What’s happening to our Planet?
The CO2 emissions have been degrading our planet.
The temperatures have been raising up a lot. In Portugal, the hottest year was in 1997, but the 10 hottest years were after 1990 (1990, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2006).
The hurricanes, storms, tornados and typhoons are stronger too. In the news we hear “Hurricane Katrina destroyed… killed… people”. Hurricanes happen frequently because of high temperatures. The sea temperature is much hotter than usual, the atmosphere temperature is lower, and all this leads to the formation of a hurricane! These past 17 years, the sea temperatures have been hotter than ever, which means that a lot of hurricanes have appeared! They are really strong. The proof is what hurricane Katrina did in New Orleans.
.
The tsunamis, nowadays are more frequently, and unpredictable. They are more destructive too. In December 2004 a huge tsunami in the Indic Ocean killed more than 220000 people and destroyed many coast cities. It was a huge tsunami with 50 feet and a magnitude of 9.0. In previous years, there were other tsunamis, but this one killed more people and caused more damage to the countries which were caught by it.
These past 17 years, there have been registered earthquakes which are stronger and destructive than ever.
As we can see, our actions caused all this: the strong hurricanes, storms, earthquakes, etc, and this won’t stop until we stop polluting. We really have to quit doing this! It isn’t only the Earth who is suffering. All the animals, plants and even us the humans, are suffering the consequences.
