He can look like a gremlin, but in reality this little guy is a pygmy tarsier, that was recently rediscovered in forest of Indonesia.
This little carnivorous primate, with 2-ouce (57 grams) had not been seen alive since the 1920s. This is specie that scientist thought to be extinct, but in reality this little guy because the humans furtive hunt and the destruction of their habitat have been hidden.
In forested mountains slopes of Lore Lindu National Park in central Sulawesi was the place where this type of tarsier was really abundant. But since their habitat start to get destroyed they became “extinct”, that what we thought.
Pigmy Tarsier is like an Indonesian Pearl, specie that scientist thought extinct but in reality they’ve been hidden of us, they became precious. They have reason to do it; humans are the responsible for the destruction of their habitat, what they call their home.
Sharon Gursky-Doyen was the woman, which have took this picture (the picture above) of pygmy tarsier hopes Indonesian government will help protecting this specie and his habitat.
This is a prove our nature have a lot of surprises and unexpected things for us, but if we still destroy the forest, polluting all this things can just disappear in a second. So think when you use paper just to do one thing and then threw them. Think when you leave the lights on for no reason. Think about the thing you do which contributes to kill more and more our environment, our species, our treasures.
Just think ecologically.
